A Proud History Since 1908

The story of Newbery Chemists began in 1908 when Ernest Ford Newbery established E.F Newbery Chemist in the South Australian town of Wallaroo.

What started as a single community pharmacy has grown into a group of locally owned and operated pharmacies serving the communities of Kadina, Moonta, Wallaroo, together with a prescription collection depot in Snowtown.

For more than a century, Newbery Chemists remained under the ownership and stewardship of the Newbery family, becoming a well-known and respected name in pharmacy throughout the region.

While ownership has evolved, the principles that have guided Newbery Chemists since 1908 remain unchanged.
